The ox, the bull. Whatever you want to call it, on Wall Street this is the symbol of cash! The ox (or the bull) always goes with its head from the bottom up. So "bullish". (positive)

Overview 2020

Yeah, what can we say about this that hasn't already been said. A shit year for social interaction, free time, travel etc... and on the other hand a booming year for online sales, stocks and crypto. Or as my grandmother in Spain used to say "one man's death is another man's bread". But there is light at the end of the tunnel. Just a few more injections and we can live in the "new normal" again.

Some conclusions for my bookstore:

Sales have increased by 36%. Of these, the marketplaces with the yellow jersey are bol.com . What has charmed me is that my webshop has made up 10% of the turnover in the first year with actually very little marketing. So this year we are going to focus a bit on marketing. (the first steps have already been taken)

bol.com

There are currently 36,000 external partners at bol.com who sell all sorts of things. I am very proud that I received an email from bol.com last week stating that I am in the top 20% of external partners. In other words, I am among the first 7,200 best sellers of bol.com!

That is why I am extremely pleased that our efforts to turn The King of Books into a serious company have led to a great result.

Webshop

This year I also decided to give the webshop a makeover and I am happy with the result. Besides the aesthetic changes, there has also been some tinkering under the hood to make the experience even smoother, more pleasant and easier. For example: the flashy pop-up has been replaced by the more discreet banner at the top. The wheel of fortune etc. is also simply gone. After all, I sell books. (and media)
