The advantage of online sales:

It has to be said. Online shopping is making it difficult for many "brick and mortar stores" and Covid-19 has made it even worse. But there are always two sides to every knife and those who invested in an online store 5 years ago have now reaped the rewards. It was written in the stars that online shopping would increasingly become the new norm. Covid-19 has only accelerated this.

For me personally, I think online selling is an excellent story. You can do it anywhere and whenever you want. Be careful, you have to bring structure and be consistent in the handling of what you have sold. It is not like "I'll put something on it and then I'll wait for the money to come in".

We are open 24/7:

Indeed, I am going on vacation but the store is open 24/7. And all orders are shipped the day after payment. I love that! Even sourcing books is possible on vacation. You can buy books online and have them delivered to your warehouse. The only thing I don't do is put them up for sale immediately because I like to check all books first to make sure the quality is correct.

The future:

I am absolutely convinced that there is an incredible amount to do in the field of online. I see a whole new "micro" economy emerging. All small businesses of 1 person who will offer a certain product online without "overhead". Many will drop out after a few years or even months, but there will always be new ones and there will be a solid base of stayers. The stayers will be the ones who bring structure to their online activities and can muster the necessary discipline.

I myself said in one of my previous blogs that if you follow my "roadmap" you can generate a basic income after 6 months. Well, I took on that challenge with someone who knew nothing about online sales and that person had an income of €600 after 6 months (as a side-job). That is of course not enough but if you spend 8 to 12 hours a week on this and you get €600 a month after 6 months without any knowledge then you are on the right track.

But enough about that. I'm leaving next Monday for a holiday under the palm trees and with the necessary snacks and drinks I'm going to recharge my batteries because in the fourth quarter I'm going to rock like a beast!
