Flight over the Himalayas

Every year, thousands of children flee over the Himalayas to escape Chinese oppression. Their goal is to see the Dalai Lama and build a future in India or the West where they have space to live. The children are often no older than 5, 6 or 8 years old and are barely able to cope with the flight over snow and ice along the peaks of the Himalayas. Maria Blumencron, a young actress by profession, filmed one such flight.
