All or Nothing: My Story
Jan Ullrich came out of nowhere and in 1997 became the first German to win the Tour de France. From one day to the next he was a hero. And then came the fall: fast cars, a weakness for wine and good food, doping accusations - Jan Ullrich fell deeply. But he picked himself up again, changed, became a father and in 2003 came back in grand style as second in the Tour (with only 61 seconds difference to number 1, Lance Armstrong).
In this book, 'der Jan', that sympathetic boy from Rostock, tells his story: how he, raised without a father, went to the West after the fall of the Wall and found love there; who the important people in his life are; how he overcame his great crisis; why he finally wants to win the Tour again. The darling of the Germans, as no one knows him anymore - with many unpublished photos.
Jan Ullrich (born Rostock 1973) was the first German to win the Tour de France, came second five times, and is also world champion and Olympic champion. He lives in Switzerland. Hagen Boßdorf is sports coordinator at the ARD programme department. He has known Ullrich personally for many years and regularly reports on major cycling events, including the Tour de France.
