Marc Degryse, 30 years of top football
In 1983, Marc Degryse signed his first professional contract with Club Brugge. In the following years, he became one of the best footballers Belgium ever had: with the Red Devils, Anderlecht, AA Gent (after a detour in the Netherlands and England) and Germinal Beerschot. He was 37 when he stopped playing football. At Club Brugge, he then had a turbulent and memorable period as sporting director. In recent years, he has been one of our sharpest and most astute football analysts, on television and in the newspapers. In this book, Degryse looks back on 30 years of top football. He tells and analyses fiercely, without restraint, just as sharply as he was as a footballer. Players, trainers, chairmen, clubs, national coaches: they all pass by - Degryse bares his soul and speaks his mind without inhibitions.
