Najib: Biography Najib Amhali

17,99 25,00

Najib Amhali is one of the most famous and successful comedians in the Netherlands. Born in Nador, Morocco, but raised in Krommenie as the oldest of four brothers, he started in the nineties as a stand-up comedian at the Comedy Train in small venues, before finally breaking through to the general public in 1998 after winning both the jury and audience award at the Leids Cabaret Festival.

Since then he has made nine full-length solo performances with which he toured the largest halls in the Netherlands, he has appeared as an actor in Jesus is a Palestinian and Shouf Shouf Habibi, among others, and he was the first Dutch comedian to sell out the Ziggo Dome three times.

Najib Amhali is one of the absolute top performers, but his success also has a downside: for years he struggled with an alcohol and drug addiction that almost ended his career and his marriage.
In this biography, Najib himself, as well as family and friends, speak openly about his life: about his youth, the sometimes complicated family ties, the path to fame and the price he paid for his success.
