Around Inge

Out of love for my daughter, I cannot give her up. She was only able to live carefree for 19 years, with this book I want to make her permanent. In February 1991, a very malignant tumor was discovered in Inge Van der Meulen's small pelvis. Fighting with the courage of despair in an unequal battle, she had to admit defeat. She died on March 11, 1993, barely 21 years old. The impact of this long path of suffering on the family and the environment was so great that her father decided from the beginning to record everything he saw, heard, felt and thought on video and in a diary. RONDOM INGE is the story of Inge herself: how she courageously and serenely bore her illness and finally accepted her death. The reactions and feelings of others are also discussed. Attention is paid to hospital life, the efforts of medical and nursing staff, the contact with other patients.
