Reflecting: learning from your experiences as a social professional

Just as a carpenter must regularly inspect and maintain his tools, it is of great importance for social professionals to reflect on their professional actions. After all, they themselves are their most important tools. In the training courses for social professionals, reflection is therefore an important competence.
This book teaches students what reflection is, how they can reflect and what the purpose and meaning of reflection are. In doing so, connections are made with theoretical backgrounds from philosophy and psychology.
Reflecting Learning from your experiences as a social professional consists of three parts. First, the basic knowledge is provided. This theory is alternated with practical examples and personal experiences of students. In this way, the link is constantly made to the practice of study and the future profession. In part two, the author discusses the basic skills of reflection. The book concludes with a practical part, in which the author offers numerous exercises to help the student get the hang of reflecting.
Reflecteren offers theory and assignments at both an entry level and an advanced level, so that the book can be used throughout the entire study.
