Doubly blessed

In the snake pit of Philippine politics, twins Hector and Katerina Basbas maneuver their way to the center of power through devious intrigue. By the time Hector makes it to the presidential candidate, “His (Future) Excellency” and “Madam Self” have become two veritable monsters – cunning, ruthless, with a keen instinct for human frailty, and downright insane.

The end seems in sight when Hector's ultimate election victory is challenged and he himself goes missing in a plane crash, but the rise of the Basbas family proves unstoppable.

Through the eyes of Teresa, confidante of the entire Basbas clique, a fast-paced black comedy unfolds, in which corruption, abuse of power and political degeneration play the leading roles.
