In Paris, on 10 May 1979, a student house burns to the ground. Six bodies are found. They are the residents of the building, including Elise, the daughter of the homeowner. There is no reason to assume that this is a crime. Until Paul, Elise's boyfriend at the time, accidentally meets one of the women who are said to have died years later. The conversation with her makes him suspect that there was indeed intent involved.
Paul decides to reconstruct the facts. Digging into the past of the house and its inhabitants, he makes bizarre discoveries that should eventually bring out the truth.
