Enchanting Vomit
This novel is a bio fiction. Pierre tells about his mother's bipolar disorder and the painful emotional consequences he experiences. Over thirty years, eight bad situations pass by: her apparent suicide, her first admission to a psychiatric institution, the burglary of her home, her reckless purchases, the appointment of a guardian by the justice of the peace, her physical decline, her car accident, her deliverance. Pierre always feels defenseless against the manic depressive mind of his mother. He tacks between love and hate. In addition, Pierre describes the war situations of both parents as a full-fledged journalist: mother bombed flat in the parental home, father after his 18-day campaign five years of deprivation during his captivity. These dramatic events are recalled with historical precision and extensive witness statements. Pierre emerges from these parents, burdened with PTSD. In the third time period, Pierre fantasizes about his eventful youth, his rebellious student days, his life drawing, his falling in love, his clash... A gripping page-turner
