Children of Dewindt
The Dewindt family lives, lives and works in Antwerp. Father Karel Dewindt runs a successful family business in the port of Antwerp that buys oil from large refineries and sells it on to ships. But the family relationships within the company cause many complications. There is a fierce sibling rivalry between company manager Karel and his younger brother Bob, who, as a charmer, does not lead an impeccable lifestyle. The future succession also promises to be anything but smooth: Bob has no children; Karel has four. Karel's eldest son Bart and third son Steven are both trying to conquer a place in Dewindt Fuel Trading. Tom, the second son, has turned his back on the hectic city life and opted for agriculture. However, his wife Sonja wants him to strengthen the ties with the family and the company. Lies, the youngest of the family, wants to establish herself as an independent fashion designer, but that does not go smoothly either. The key figure in the family relationships is Karel's wife Rita. She has chosen to raise her children, but still follows the company closely. With the courage of desperation she tries to keep the family together. The future of the company leaves no one cold. Dewindt's children are born entrepreneurs. But can they also work together to save their father's company from ruin?
