Nostradamus In Orval
With his book, antique dealer Karel Rombaut wants to prove that he, as a descendant of Louis XVII (1785-1795?), is a pretender to the throne of France. But before he can publish his life's work, Rombaut is murdered by a mysterious man who supposedly shows him the Prophecy of Orval by Nostradamus. This prediction by Nostradamus supposedly contains the key to the hiding place of the French royal fortune, which disappeared without a trace in the abbey of Orval during the French Revolution. The murder case attracts the attention of Maarten Dejonckheere, because as a researcher for the television series Great Mysteries he is particularly fascinated by Nostradamus. But Maarten soon ends up in the hornets' nest of Rombaut's merry widow and banker Louis Lombard, who are also obsessed with the missing royal treasure. What fascinates Maarten above all are the questions that this murder case raises. Was Crown Prince Louis XVII able to escape the French Revolution and does his descendants live in Flanders? Is there a treasure hidden in the abbey of Orval? And what secrets can actually be read in the predictions of Nostradamus?
