It all starts when Matthew Sobol's obituary appears online...
Sobol was a legendary computer game designer. He died prematurely but he left behind something on the Internet that scanned online obituaries, something that set in motion a whole series of programs. Programs that moved money, that recruited people, that killed people.
Detective Peter Sebeck is confronted with a killer who is already dead. He is introduced to a world where death can monitor the news, steal identities, and carry out evil plans without fear of retribution. Sebeck must find a way to stop Sobol's web of programs, his daemon, before it reaches its ultimate goal. And to do that, he must first discover what that goal is...
