Red War
Mitch Rapp must do everything he can to prevent the seriously ill Russian leader from starting an all-out war against the West. When Russian President Maxim Krupin is diagnosed with an incurable brain tumor, he is determined not to give up and to stay in power. His first decision is to kill or jail all his fellow countrymen who pose a threat to him. But then his condition worsens to the point that he wants to resort to more serious diversionary measures: war with the West.
When CIA Director Irene Kennedy learns of the seriousness of Krupin's health, she understands that the United States is facing an adversary with nothing to lose. The only way to avoid a conflict that could claim millions of lives is to send Mitch Rapp to Russia on a life-threatening mission.
If Rapp succeeds in his mission, war will be averted. But if his mission is discovered, Russia and America will be drawn into a conflict that offers neither country a chance of survival.
