Leuven inspector John Leyssens and his team are puzzled when they are confronted with a number of murders in quick succession. The signals left by the perpetrator are strange and incomprehensible. The investigators search in vain for the common thread in the story. Until the gruesome truth comes to light.

Author Bart Debbaut keeps a firm grip on the reins. He uses a particularly smooth pen and works with flair through the dark thoughts of both the perpetrator and his victims and the investigators.
