Scream underwater
Katrine Wraa is a Danish psychologist and profiler. After years of working for the English police, she is brought back to Denmark and assigned to the homicide unit in Copenhagen. She soon finds herself in dire straits when, together with her new partner Jens Høgh, she has to solve the violent murder of a gynaecologist who was stabbed to death in his own front garden.
Suspicion falls on three people: a Chechen refugee whose wife died during childbirth for which the doctor was responsible, the widow of the gynecologist who turns out to have deep secrets, and the doctor's secret mistress.
Over the course of a few nerve-wracking winter days, Katrine Wraa is confronted with her own deepest fears when the killer turns out to be an unscrupulous psychopath who has suddenly come much too close.
