Strange assignments for FJ

In 1905, the resourceful and adventurous Caroline Jones is way ahead of her time. She changes her first name to Fremont, opens her own typing agency in San Francisco and offers her services for ten dollar cents a page. Her first client is the young, charming, but not very sincere lawyer Justin Cameron. More clients follow. A distinguished Chinese gentleman has his will drawn up - and is murdered a few days later. Fremont Jones is intrigued by all these curious clients and events. Like a true detective, she makes a number of revealing discoveries...
