Benny
Daniël has it all together. A beautiful wife, two daughters and a handful of worthy extras. On Tuesdays he goes to play tennis in his SUV. At the height of his happiness he runs into his old classmate Benny, after which a kind of friendship develops. However, cracks are starting to show in Daniël's established order. His daughters are growing up, his wife is outgrowing herself and Daniël can no longer keep things together. When he makes a final attempt to restore order, things go completely wrong. Reality is complex, while everyone only has one pair of eyes to look through. Benny is about the supporting role we play in other people's lives. Bert Moerman (Bruges, 1987) gave up his job in 2016 to go and write his debut in New York. He returned with Niet dat het iets kosten, which won the Bronzen Uil Audience Award in 2018. He now lives and works in Antwerp.
