Sean King and Michelle Maxwell are back, still struggling with the emotional fallout from the events of The Hour of Sin. Maxwell seeks help in a psychiatric institution, and King watches in dismay as his partner spirals deeper into misery. To distract himself, he investigates a murder in Babbagetown, a secret enclave of scientific geniuses developing the world’s most advanced microprocessor. But to what end?
