The Hundredth Man

Carson Ryder is a psychologist by training, but has been promoted rapidly in the police force by unmasking a serial killer. However, no one knows that he was helped by his brother - a convicted serial killer.
In Mobile, Alabama, a serial killer is at work. He murders young men and carves messages into their bodies. Carson is put on the case together with his older and wiser partner Harry Nautilus. The investigation initially goes well, except that their ambitious boss, who does not like detectives he cannot control, constantly thwarts them. The case threatens to get stuck and Carson reluctantly calls in the help of his brother again, who does not give up his information for nothing.
When the killer eventually kidnaps Dr. Ava Davanelle, the pathologist and Carson's lover, a race against time begins to rescue her.
