The Lover

London, 1940. In the space of a few weeks, four horribly mutilated bodies of prostitutes are found
found in the Soho district. The young prostitute Renée is terrified that she will be the next victim,
while office worker Lucy thinks she is safe, but sleeps under the kitchen table at night for fear of a bomb attack. Pilot Jim seeks out violence above the coast of southern England, but the tension begins to take its toll. A heavy bombing brings them together in a bomb shelter, where the danger does not only come from the Germans.
