In the middle of a sweltering summer night, Detective Inspector Erika Foster is called to the scene. A doctor has been found in his bed at home, suffocated. His wrists are tied and his eyes bulge through the transparent plastic bag tightly tied around his head. A few days later, a second victim is found in exactly the same circumstances. What links the victims to each other and to their killer? Why is so little known about their pasts?
