Since the nineties he has mainly been active in the field of crime literature. He has read and reviewed thousands of thrillers for Dutch and Flemish magazines since 1988. In 1991 he was asked to write a theme issue of Kreatief, later he composed an issue on detectives for Boekengids and also wrote the history of Flemish crime literature for Moorden met woorden (Netherlands, 2000). Reviews by him have appeared in English, American and Danish magazines.
