The Alibi Bureau
Cool tension, detached humor
Peter de Zwaan (1944) won the Gouden Strop in 2000 with Het Alibibureau. He was also nominated for this prize with Dietz, Rafels, Een keel van glas, De regels and De klusjesman. In 2006 De voeder was published, which was nominated for the Diamanten Kogel. The sequel to this was published in the spring of 2007: Duivelsrug.
As the director of the famous Alibibureau, Suz Kcrams provides alibis for anyone who needs them, including criminals. One day, Kcrams gets caught up in a shady case in which he becomes the prime suspect (and in dire need of an alibi). Someone has set him up, someone who has good reason to hate him intensely.
