The Secret

A man thinks that his ex-wife, pianist Wanda Wiericke, lives and works in America. But one evening he reads in the newspaper that she was forced to give up her musical career in the early eighties due to illness. When he learns that she has retreated to a village in the Pyrenees, he gets into his car with the firm intention of looking for her.
Present and past alternate in The Secret. The present is seen alternately through the eyes of the man and the woman. In between, in short scenes, Wanda Wiericke's life story unfolds, in which secrets play a major role. One secret is overwhelming - and in the end, only music can offer solace.
