The poetic thought of Jean Carteret

George Bode's first meeting with Carteret dates from 1962 and marked the beginning of a fifteen-year contact. Based on his notes about their conversations and the hitherto brief publications by and about Carteret's ideas, he attempts to provide an initial order in his book 'The poetic thinking of Jean Carteret'. This introduction is accompanied by reflections on the person of Jean Carteret, from 1937 onwards, by Anaïs Nin and Raymond Abellio among others, and by texts - tape material, a lecture, interviews and written pieces - by Carteret himself.
