The Orphan Girl

Augsburg, 1913. The young orphan girl Marie joins the staff of the impressive country house of the Melzer family, who made their fortune in textiles, as a kitchen maid. Marie tries to find her place among the hard-working servants. Katharina, the beautiful youngest daughter of the Melzers, is preparing for the ball season at the same time. She will finally be introduced to the outside world. Her brother Paul, the heir of the family, seems to keep aloof and prefers his student life in Munich... until he meets Marie. The orphan girl is a wonderful journey to a beautiful villa from the previous century, where love, intrigue and secrets are brewing between the neatly laid tables and the chicly dressed ladies.
