Journey through the blue: ten months of ocean sailing

Journey through the blue is not a dry summary of sailing activities, but an impression of what a person experiences in the middle of sea and sky that are mirrored in each other's blue. The author is one of the few sailors who regularly jumped into the sea during calms in the middle of the ocean to photograph fish and sometimes catch them to expand the meals a bit. Since Journey through the blue, Henk Jukkema has made many ocean crossings - including three transatlantic solo sailing races - on all kinds of sailing yachts. Today, an ocean crossing on a sailing yacht is no longer a rarity. Both ships and equipment have improved considerably over the last quarter century.
