11,99 24,00

Svetlana Bolshakova is a triple jumper who was born in the former Soviet Union. She grows up in a crumbling regime, with trial and error, and is soon discovered as a talented athlete. At an international athletics meeting she meets her future husband Stijn, himself a high jumper. Svetlana's career progresses well, despite several serious injuries. At the European Championships in Barcelona in 2010, Bolshakova wins the bronze medal. In 2011 she improves her indoor record, and shortly afterwards she receives the Golden Spike, as the best Belgian athlete. The sky is the limit. But the triple jump is one of the most taxing sports in athletics. In the spring of 2011, Svetlana tears her left Achilles tendon, which means she has to forget about participating in the World Athletics Championships. She works very hard for the third time to return to the highest level. Her goal: the 2012 London Olympics.
