After a disturbing discovery, a broken relationship and the death of his mother, Wyrd decides to leave everything behind in the hope of finding out more about his past. He goes in search of his father, whom he never knew. In De Boarn, a remote area in the countryside, Wyrd meets a strange old man who tells him that his father disappeared from this place. Only the wax statues in the attic show traces of his presence. As the statues slowly melt and Wyrd tries to find the truth about his father's disappearance, the mysterious landscape of De Boarn reveals more and more secrets.
