Lower book sales this month:

As is the annual custom, April is a lesser month in sales. How this happened is a mystery to me: was it the Easter holidays or did the nice weather of the first weeks play a role?

I believe that when spring begins and the first rays of sunshine come through, many of us feel called to freshen up the garden. Or you just want to go outside in the sun and enjoy a terrace or BBQ. Then there is indeed little time left to go behind the computer and look up books that you might want to order.

Fortunately, this takes a while and sales usually return to normal levels in the last week. Coincidence or not, but the weather is worse than the previous week.

As far as I am concerned nothing changes because searching for books (sourcing) should not be interrupted. You have to constantly be on a “ book hunt ” And here spring also plays a big role.

Spring cleaning fever :

This is a strange word but it says what it means. Not only do people want to enjoy the spring weather but for some reason they want to get rid of stuff they have lying around. They need space for new things.

A while ago I put up notices in various places offering to clean up books. Since I put up those flyers, I have been to people several times where I have generally come to an agreement to help them get rid of their books.

This week I went to look at books at 2 people and the result of the books is impressive. Below are a few books to give you an idea.
