Unexpected: joy and sorrow in the bull house

In 2007 I won the VTM program Superhond, together with my most loyal four-legged friend and great pride: the English bulldog Max. Because of that my long-cherished dream finally came true: starting my own dog shelter.
In Unexpected I take you back into my little animal world. In a shelter you often come into contact with cruel practices and the abuse, mutilation and molestation of innocent animals. Fortunately, this goes hand in hand with many people with a heart of gold, who adore these unfortunate pets and want to give them a new chance at a wonderful life with much love. But it is especially the dogs themselves that give me the strength to keep going. No matter how horrible the stories sometimes are, they are still willing time and again to give their new owners their valuable friendship, affection and unconditional trust.
Every evening I process all my experiences in my own way: I take pen and paper and write, with the most beautiful creations of Mother Nature at my feet, my English bulldogs.
