No school without Muse: musical and creative education in secondary education

Artistic and creative education involves more than just going to a film show with students or making music or theatre with a few people. It is a general education that is systematically built up and in which the deepest essence of man is also touched. Creativity involves setting up an imaginative activity that produces both original and valuable results. Moreover, it has been proven many times that creativity can be learned, that you do not just have to 'have' it. Through the cross-curricular final objectives of artistic and creative education, we can teach students from all directions of secondary education values ​​that enable them to function better in a group, among other things. They also acquire methods to learn independently and for life with a great deal of entrepreneurial spirit. The book is structured according to recurring principles - evolving from concrete to abstract - based on the experiential learning model of David Kolb. In the first part, the reader will find concrete inspiration and learn more about practical support. The second part discusses how a school can implement artistic and creative education in practice and how a vision and curriculum can also be developed along the way. Part three offers concrete models for evaluation and discusses the more abstract reporting thereof. The fourth part then focuses on the added value of artistic-creative education.
