July 1942: twenty-five-year-old Eva Fastag is arrested during the Jewish roundup in Antwerp. Via the Breendonk camp, she ends up in the Dossinkazerne in Mechelen. There, the Germans force her to draw up the lists for the deportation of more than 25,000 Jews to Auschwitz-Birkenau. Only five percent of them survive. Where she can, Eva falsifies the transport lists and engages in other forms of resistance. In this way, she saves many lives. However, she cannot prevent her own family from being deported...
