Bearers of hope

Four years after the genocide in Rwanda, the persistent idea that every Hutu is a murderer and that every Tutsi is bent on revenge still lives. The reality is different. Rwanda, the land of a thousand hills, is today above all the land of memories. Suffering makes no distinction between Hutu, Tutsi and Twa. Who does not mourn murdered, disappeared, wandering or imprisoned family members! Both Hutus and Tutsis remain the target of extremists who are out to retain or regain power.
