Water polo, DNA of Dave Witteboon
You haven't seen him that often in the sports media, but Dave Witteboon has certainly given Belgian water polo a face. The athlete, who is now almost sixty years old, is a record international, played for several top Belgian teams and proved in the Dutch competition that a step up was certainly no problem. The Antwerp native is a living legend in our country. His dedication has always been boundless from an early age. His drive and passion were in proportion. For many young people, he was always a great example. Dave did not shy away from a challenge during his sports career. In addition to water polo, he was also active as a swimmer and as a triathlete. He trained together with Marc Herremans, with whom he became good friends. Dave also often hung out with former top cyclist Hedwig Van Hooydonck. Over the years, Witteboon has developed a clear vision of top-level sport, sometimes controversial, but always straightforward. All of this makes him a sports legend with a story. Dave leaves no one unmoved. This is evident from the many testimonies in this book.
