Migration society: 20 voices on living together in diversity
Today, Belgium is a country of migration. One in five inhabitants is of foreign origin, in some cities almost half. More than a hundred languages are spoken. Many families are therefore multilingual. How do we deal with all these changes? How can we live together? What are the consequences in education and work? What will be our colloquial language? Should we pay attention to 'identity'?
In Migration Society, 20 experts open perspectives on the future. From very different backgrounds, they discuss the complex new reality. How do they see society evolving? How do we all progress? What does 'integration' mean if the majority consists of 'minorities'?
