Communication in business: thinking, speaking, writing
What do we expect in terms of communication from someone who has graduated in an economics study program? According to the domain competencies of the various economic studies, a student must be able to collaborate in a professional environment and communicate professionally, for example, present convincingly, write purposefully and draw up policy plans.
Communication in business offers students a method to train communication skills, with assignments that play out in realistic practical situations. In twelve practical chapters, an existing company is central. Using situations in that company, skills are discussed, such as holding meetings, writing for a customer and negotiating. Each chapter in part 1 ends with a case. The theory that is needed to be able to complete the assignments is in part 2.
In this new edition, the division is clustered by subject and thus made clearer. The theory section has been expanded and new case companies have been added. Furthermore, there is more attention for debating: students can improve their argumentation skills with the help of a new practical chapter and extensive theory.
