Inhalation therapy: a practical guide for healthcare providers

This book is a practical guide for all healthcare providers who come into contact with inhalation therapy in their clinical practice, such as doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, kinesiotherapists, occupational therapists, home workers and pharmacists. In recent decades, respiratory diseases such as COPD, asthma and cystic fibrosis have been on the rise. Inhalation therapy is one of the cornerstones in the treatment of these diseases, which is why its importance is increasing rapidly. The book also provides an answer to a number of new developments in treatment with inhalation medication. The book describes the operation, maintenance and points of attention of the most common inhalation devices. In addition, the education of the patient about the correct use and maintenance of the inhalation devices is also central. The book also contains patient leaflets that show the correct use of each inhalation device. Finally, a practical overview is given of the currently available types of inhalation medication in their various forms of administration.
