Georgia's cooking classes
An atmospheric mix of A House in Tuscany and Julie & Julia
When Georgia's culinary career in New York comes to an abrupt end, she sees only one way out: start over in Tuscany...
Georgia Gray is the 'rising star' of the New York culinary scene. She is a chef in a top restaurant where she cooks the stars out of the sky night after night. This also applies to the day that the most famous reviewer in the city comes to eat. The evening is a resounding success and the reward in the form of 3 forks (the highest possible result) seems no more than a formality. When the review is published and Georgia is awarded not 3, but only half a fork, her culinary days in New York are numbered. When her engagement is also broken off, she flees to Tuscany.
In Tuscany, the positive energy in the kitchen, the beautiful landscape and the new challenge ensure that Georgia slowly gets back on her feet. When Gianni, the sexy wine farmer from two doors down, makes her an offer that no chef would refuse, Georgia decides against all odds to follow her dreams and returns to New York. But whether the city is waiting for her return is the question...
Jenny Nelson lives with her husband in New York and works as an editor and producer for vogue.com and style.com, among others. Georgia's Cooking Classes is her first book.
