Lost Son

Inspector Paul Vegter is confronted with two mysterious, violent murders. The cruelty shocks him and especially his young detective Renée, who was previously the victim of an attack and has since struggled with her fear of violence.
Is there a connection between the victims, or an explanation for the bizarre way in which they were killed? Vegter's theory that revenge is often taken on the wrong people is being shaken.
Meanwhile, a young man tries to escape the criminal circuit he has fallen into after a horrific rape, but not before he has put right what was done to him.
