Above the skin

Ronan Willems leads a perfectly normal life in an equally normal Flemish city, but his surroundings still leave deep traces. A Belgian development worker and a Congolese activist struggle with questions about the future of their son, Dieumerci Dumont, who is eager to become an adult. And then there is Murhula Muhini, who grows up in a small farming community in eastern Congo. When a rebel group invades his village, a chain reaction begins that will drastically change the lives of each of these boys.
