The Mafia Boss

In the mountains of Sicily, eighteen-year-old Silvio regularly demonstrates his youthful exuberance to impress Nino Greco, the local mafia leader, who is also known as 'the Stonebreaker'. When the kidnapping of an English priest turns into a complete disaster, Nino and Silvio are forced to flee to America. In New Orleans, the men enter the service of the powerful Priola family. The Priolas, also from Sicily and distant relatives, tyrannize the harbor district and rule over the dock workers who unload the fruit cargoes. His sharp mind quickly secures Silvio a prominent position in the criminal organization. He also begins a passionate love affair with Anna-Maria Priola, even though he still yearns to be reunited with Annunziata, the lover he left behind in Sicily. When a rival family tries to take over the Priolas' rule, a bloody war breaks out.
