Defenseless

In the Amazonendreef, a poorly lit road lined with pollard willows, Jozef Michiels loses control of the steering wheel. In the middle of the Terkamerenbos, his Toyota dives into the verge. He goes looking for help but is hit by a drunk driver and dies on the spot. When the car is towed away, the police make a gruesome discovery. Special Commissioner Fernand De Decker is called in. He rushes to the scene of the disaster, where he realizes that Cell 5, created to dust off the 'forgotten children's files', is being overtaken by the present. It is the starting shot of a mad race against time.
