Can it be a little more?
This book examines the role that faith can play in the lives of young people. Who or What is God to them? Is He merely the embodiment of ethical values or is there also a personal relationship with God? What is the attitude of young people towards Bible stories, prayer and the Church? What expectations do pupils have of religious education? Do they regard the increasing presence of Muslim youth as an invitation to dialogue or as a threat to their own identity? How can the Church bring faith closer to young people? In short: can it be a little more? In addition to young people, adults who are connected to the world of growing up youth and young adults also have their say in this book. Hilde Crevits, Sven Gatz, Rik Torfs, Anne De Paepe, Lieven Boeve, Raymonda Verdyck, school principals and religious teachers talk about their expectations and concerns. All Flemish bishops, youth movements, youth pastoral care, faith communities and representatives of, among others, De Ark Gemeenschap, Estas, Yot, Ode were also asked about their views on young people.
