Handed over: Icon of Creation

A meditation book with 20 compartments of an 18th century Russian icon about the creation: it is in any case an original idea and as a concept very interesting. It is about a copy of an original icon that belongs to the famous Muscovite Tretiakov collection. An icon about the creation of the world is also an exceptionally rare motif in icon painting. It is a large synthetic staging that depicts the most important events from the Genesis story, up to and including the Cain and Abel episode. After a general introduction there is always a page with the enlarged icon detail, and a page of 'contemplation' by the author. The quality of the photos, the glossy paper: everything is there to make it a relaxing, meditative book.
