Musa is sixteen and Palestinian. He grew up in Hebron, a city of two hundred thousand inhabitants in the occupied Palestinian territories. Since the settlement of a few hundred Israeli settlers in the city center, thousands of Palestinians have been driven from their homes and hundreds of shops have closed. Hebron has become a ghost town.
Musa meets Rachel, the daughter of a fanatic colonist. At first he doesn't want to admit it to himself, but after a while he can't help it. He's in love!
Musa is accused of collaborating with the Israelis and flees to the Netherlands. Will he ever see Rachel again?
