The Antwerp mayors from 1831 to 2000

Antwerp had fourteen mayors, formally appointed by the king, between 1831 and 2000 - all resounding Flemish names, except the first (Le Grelle) and the last (Detiège). Between these two, both names that continue to ring like bells and half- or completely forgotten figures.
The approach of this book is original and sheds a surprising light on the twelve gentlemen and two ladies who took possession of the 'beautiful floor' in the Antwerp town hall.
