Houb houb, yellah!: in search of the Syrian refugee camps in Lebanon

Since the beginning of the civil war in Syria, millions of people have fled the bloody and brutal conflict, with no end in sight to the extreme violence.
As the conflict in Syria – now in its fifth year and described as the worst humanitarian crisis of our time – continues unabated, millions of people are seeking refuge in camps outside Syria, most of them in the
Bekaa Valley in Lebanon, a country where a fifth of the population is now made up of Syrian refugees.
Houb houb, yellah! offers a rare glimpse behind the scenes of the refugee camps. Together with a young photographer and in the wake of an NGO, journalist Ria Anyca travelled from camp to camp. She saw children in acute medical need and adults who desperately tried to continue their lives. She listened to the gripping stories of the people themselves, who told her first-hand about what they had to endure. They are stories of fear and desperation, but above all
